Couples Therapy · Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) · EMDR (Certified) · Trauma · Relationship & Attachment Concerns

Pantea Rafati is a Registered Psychotherapist with extensive clinical experience working with individuals and couples. She specializes in helping clients navigate relationship difficulties, emotional disconnection, trauma, and experiences that continue to affect how they feel, relate, and connect with others.

Her work with couples is strongly informed by Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), with a focus on helping partners understand the patterns underlying conflict and disconnection, strengthen emotional bonds, and develop greater security within their relationships.

As a Certified EMDR Therapist, Pantea also works with individuals experiencing trauma and distressing past experiences that continue to influence their present lives. Her approach helps clients process these experiences while developing a greater understanding of their emotional responses, relationships, and patterns of coping.

Rather than focusing only on immediate symptoms, Pantea helps clients explore what may be happening beneath them and work toward changes that feel meaningful and sustainable.

Sam Rafati

Addiction · Men’s Mental Health · Trauma · Couples Therapy · Gottman Method (Levels 1 & 2) · EMDR-Informed Therapy

Sam Rafati is a Registered Psychotherapist who works with individuals and couples experiencing addiction, trauma, anxiety, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions. A significant part of his work focuses on addiction and men’s mental health, including the emotional, relational, and behavioural patterns that can develop around stress, loss, identity, coping, and recovery.

In individual therapy, Sam helps clients look beyond the immediate problem to better understand the experiences, emotions, and patterns that may be contributing to it. His work with addiction emphasizes not only reducing harmful behaviours, but also understanding what those behaviours may be serving, strengthening healthier ways of coping, and supporting meaningful and sustainable recovery.

Sam also works extensively with couples and draws on the Gottman Method, having completed Levels 1 and 2 training. He helps partners better understand recurring patterns of conflict, improve communication, rebuild trust, and strengthen emotional connection.

His work with trauma is informed by EMDR, with foundational training completed and further certification currently in progress. This allows trauma, difficult past experiences, and unresolved emotional responses to be explored as part of a broader therapeutic process when appropriate.

Across both individual and couples therapy, Sam’s focus is on helping clients understand what is driving the patterns they want to change and translate that insight into practical changes in their relationships, coping, and everyday lives.

Get to know Sam

Sam brings a direct, down-to-earth, and engaged style to therapy. He values conversations that feel genuine rather than overly clinical and works to create a space where clients can speak openly, challenge familiar patterns, and make sense of what is happening beneath the surface.
